The R.E.M. bass player teamed with Hem singer Ellyson in 2006 to cover the Big Star tune for the benefit of the Red Apple Foundation, a charitable group that gives grants to programs that improve the lives of children. The song is a bit mellow compared to the original, but collectors will go crazy. Especially since it's not currently in circulation, though it could easily turn up somewhere like a future compilation or even resume being available for download.
