Springsteen, R.E.M. tease us with Xmas songs

The Boss rejoins the Christmas chase in 2010 with a rendition of "Blue Christmas." It's part of a five-song mini-concert available only here, featuring four songs from The Promise plus this, and I haven't been able to find a way to break it out separately; if you can, feel free to use the comments section to spread the word.

Also new for this year is R.E.M.'s version of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," available only from these guys so far, no video, just audio. Mike Mills takes the lead vocal, no indication whether Michael Stipe is doing any of the backing vocals or anything else, but Bill Berry returns to play drums.

In the course of preparing this post I stumbled over Never Mind the Christmas Here's the Bollocks, which is a shorter version of Bollocks to Christmas that we reviewed a few years ago. You might want this just for the title and Sex Pistols-parody cover, though it's only a download from Amazon at this time.
